Prior to Memory setting up her own company she worked with myself and my daughter Lisa-Jane for a ten year period. My daughter had a rare genetic disorder with complex special needs. Her care was of a palliative nature requiring 24 hour constant care and monitoring. I needed someone that I could rely on to take over from me to allow me sleep. Children with special needs are no different to anyone else in that they know who they like and who they don't. Both my daughter and myself took to Memory. She is knowledgeable and competent on every level remaining relaxed under pressure at all times. It is very difficult having strangers come into your home under any circumstances. Memory became a member of the family and a friend. Her approach is a person centred one with my daughter and her care needs being the focus of attention. She is genuinely caring with a very positive and good humoured outlook which is so important. She worked around my daughter's timetable accommodating us both at all times. Even when my father died she sorted out childcare for her own family to allow me attend his funeral. I would have not been able to go otherwise. She has never let us down. My daughter has since passed away but for ten years of her life Memory played a huge part.The two of them got on great. I really don't know what we would have done without her.
